Jewish Zapiro Outrages Muslims Around the World in Publishing Cartoon on Prophet Mohamed (SCW).
South Africa, The Muslim community in South Africa & elsewhere in the world, are very much outraged at the South African Mail and Guardian's publishing of a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, in today's edition (21 May 2010).
While Muslims deeply respect freedom of speech, it does come with responsibility and the Mail and Guardian has completely neglected this responsibility in the pursuit of sales and fame.
South African cartoonist Zapiro who has roots from Jewish, publishes his cartoon on Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) following the facebook page titled as “Everybody draw Muhammad Day”.
The cartoon at Mail & Gaurdian, portrays Prophet Mohamed as complaining to psychiatrists while lying on a couch with words “other prophets have followers with a sense of humour!".
Please view the cartoon at http://www.mg.co.za/zapiro/fullcartoon/2525 & add your anger to the comment line.
Many masaajids around South Africa had their Jum’ah Bayaans today directed to this cartoon, one sheikh has informed me that M & Guardian won late bid By Council of Muslim Theologians to bar the publication of the cartoon.
The Muslims in S.A are calling all responsible people of all races and religions in South Africa & elsewhere not to buy the Mail and Guardian & to withdraw their advertising and to ask vendors to withdraw the newspaper from their shelves and to return it.
Let’s all as Muslims & people with humanity stand up for the greatest messenger of God, the Holy Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him & SHOW OUR SUPPORT AGAINST "EVERYBODY DRAW MUHAMMAD DAY" campaign.
