The General director of the Somaliland Nurse Mss Fouzia Ismail is participating in Women Deliver 2010.
Dear Fouzia
Congratulations! You have been selected to receive conference support to participate in Women Deliver 2010.
The conference will be held in Washington DC, USA on June 7-9. With the overall theme of Delivering Solutions for Girls and Women, it will bring together more than 3,000 global leaders in maternal and newborn health, human rights and development. Solutions will be shared that will bring us closer to meeting Millennium Development Goal (MDG) 5 of reducing maternal mortality by 75% by 2015 and related MDGs. You will be joining such global leaders as Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State of the United States of America; Thoraya Obaid, the head of UNFPA; the heads of other key UN agencies, including WHO, Unicef, and UNAIDS; Dr. Dorothy Shaw, President of FIGO; Ban ki –moon, UN secretary General and many others.
We received thousands of applications for scholarships and will only be awarding 500, therefore should you not be able to attend; we would like to inform another applicant as soon as possible.
We are asking that you reply via email to scholarships2010@womendeliver.org by February 24, 2010 to confirm that you will accept this conference support.
Once we have heard from you that you will be able to attend the conference, we will be in touch with specific information regarding travel and other arrangements. You will also receive an official Women Deliver email confirmation. Please review the email and confirm that your contact information is still current.
As a conference supported participant you will receive: airfare (economy class), hotel room, registration fee, incidental costs (including visa fees), and a small per diem.
